Open Access Policy
Iranian Journal of Livestock Science (IJLS) supports global exchange of knowledge on non-commercial basis. The authors retain and hold the copyright without restriction or they transfer it to the journal. As such, all research articles accepted and published by IJLS are immediately freely available online to read, download and share, without any subscription charges or registration barriers.
Iranian Journal of Livestock Science (IJLS) follows the terms outlined by the Creative Common's Attribution-Only license (CC BY-NC) to be the standard terms for Open Access under CC licensing.
Peer Review Process
Once a corresponding author submits a manuscript to the Iranian Journal of livestock Science (IJLS) through its online submission system, the manuscript assesses for plagiarism, its format and required sections according to journal’s Author Guidelines. Then, based of manuscript title, an Editor reviews the manuscript briefly and determines whether its content falls within the scope of the IJLS. A manuscript could be rejected without additional review for one or more of the previous reasons and the authors is notified. Then, the manuscript sent out to three reviewers. Based on reviewer’s assessments, the IJLS makes a decision on whether to reject the manuscript, to withhold judgment pending major or minor revisions, or to accept it, and the decision is sent to the authors via e-mail.
For manuscripts accepted pending revision, the corresponding author must resubmit a revised manuscript with the responses to the reviewers’ comments within 14 days. Once a manuscript has been revised satisfactorily according to the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes a final decision and sends an e-mail to the authors. When the manuscript is accepted, it is put into the production process to be prepared for publication and the publication time will be decided at an Editorial Board meeting.
